A few Mississippi lawmakers have taken pains – at times deceitfully so – to funnel state funds to private schools.

The public isn’t buying the “school choice” propaganda, as is evidenced by a long string of failures when put before voters.

Of 138 traditional public school districts, 96 percent are rated C or better, and 71 percent are rated A or B.
