Mega Millions jackpot jumps to $893 million

The sixth-largest Mega Millions jackpot in the game’s history. The jackpot was last hit Dec. 8 for $394 million.

The player purchased the ticket from Robin Food Mart in McComb.

The player matched all five numbers and purchased the ticket from Suds N Smokes in Vicksburg.

The largest winning amount was $4 million from a winning Mega Millions ticket last January.

The winning ticket was purchased from Corner Fuel Center on Highway 49 in Hattiesburg.

The Powerball jackpot now stands at an estimated $1.55 billion for the drawing tonight with an estimated cash value of $679.8 million.

Saturday night’s Powerball jackpot is the third largest jackpot in the game’s history and the fifth largest in U.S. lottery history.

This is the 29th draw in the current jackpot run. It was last hit July 19 for $1.08 billion in California.

Beginning Sunday, Sept. 10, Mississippi Match 5 moves to daily drawings, joining the Cash 3, Cash 4 and Cash Pop evening drawings.

It is now the third-largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history.
