The fatal crashes occurred in Hancock, Lowndes, George, Holmes and Chickasaw counties.

The crash kept southbound lanes of the interstate blocked to through traffic for several hours.

MHP investigated 68 crashes resulting in 21 injuries, with one fatal crash and one death.

The fatal crashes occurred in Pike, Noxubee, Stone, and Lincoln Counties.

During the 2023 period, MHP investigated 169 crashes with three fatalities.

A total of seven fatal crashes resulting in 15 fatalities occurred. The seven fatal crashes were part of 155 total accidents that took place.

The fatal crashes occurred in Pearl River, Scott, Sunflower and Pike Counties.

Especially during this time, troopers will conduct high-visibility patrols to promote safe travel and deter unsafe driving practices.

Accident remains under investigation.
