The Board of Aldermen meeting will be held Tuesday night at Hernando City Hall, starting at 6 p.m.

Olive Branch aldermen approve voluntary annexation

The annexation request was voted on when the Board returned to regular session.

Both Olive Branch and Horn Lake held swearing-in ceremonies to begin their board meetings on Tuesday night.

The first board meeting for the new body will be Tuesday, July 1, beginning at 6 p.m.

Both McLendon and Kitchens, along with Mayor Chip Johnson and the returning board members, get right to work Tuesday evening.

The new board will get right to work Tuesday night at 6 p.m. in the City Hall board room.

The four-year terms of the Board of Aldermen and of Musselwhite as mayor will officially begin the next day, on Tuesday, July 1.

One item on the agenda won’t affect the presidential election, but if passed will affect where voters cast ballots in next year’s municipal election.
