JACKSON, Miss. – The Mississippi Hospital Association (MHA) recently named Jeremy Tinnerello, the Jackson Market President for St. Dominic Health, to its Board of Governors.

In his new role, Tinnerello will represent the Central Judicial District. The MHA Board of Governors is primarily responsible for making policy decisions and providing fiduciary oversight for the statewide hospital trade association.

Tinnerello joined St. Dominic’s in November 2023, leading teams at St. Dominic Hospital, its extensive network of ambulatory clinics, and the St. Catherine’s Village life care community. He has more than 30 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience in Mississippi and Northeast Louisiana.

Since joining St. Dominic Health, Tinnerello has led efforts to expand access to care. He oversaw the development of a real-time bed-availability prediction tool that enabled the transfer center to manage patient flow proactively. According to St. Dominic Health, this initiative resulted in a 36% improvement in transfer acceptance rates and allowed the hospital to care for more than 3,000 additional patients annually without adding staff.

Tinnerello began his career at Glenwood in 1992 as an orderly and later became an emergency room charge nurse. He advanced through various leadership roles, including chief operating officer, chief nursing officer, and president and chief executive officer.

He is also committed to community health partnerships, supporting initiatives such as the Sister Trinita Community Clinic, the St. Vincent de Paul Community Pharmacy, and expanded access for underserved populations.

Tinnerello earned his nursing degree from Louisiana Tech University, which later selected him as a Distinguished Alumni in 2020. He also holds both a Master of Science in Nursing and a Master of Health Administration. He has previously served on numerous boards, including the Louisiana Hospital Association and the West Monroe and Monroe Chambers of Commerce.
