Mississippi Lottery unveils October Scratch-Off games

JACKSON, Miss. – The Mississippi Lottery is rolling out three new scratch-off games on Tuesday, Oct. 7, giving players chances to win cash prizes of up to $100,000 just as the Mega Millions jackpot closes in on half a billion dollars.

New Scratch-Offs for October

The October scratch-off lineup includes:

  • $1 Lucky Numbers – A classic key number match game with top prizes of $5,000. Players who reveal a “2X” symbol will double their prize instantly.
  • $3 BINGO Night – An extended-play game offering top prizes of $30,000. A “3X” symbol in any winning pattern triples the prize for that card.
  • $5 Cash Money – Multiple ways to win, with top prizes of $100,000. Players who uncover a “MONEY BAG” symbol win instantly, while a “5X” multiplies the prize five times. A “STACK OF COINS” in the bonus spot delivers an additional instant win.

The new games will be available at lottery retailers across Mississippi starting Tuesday. Players must be 21 or older to purchase tickets. More information is available at mslottery.com.

Mega Millions Jackpot Approaches Half a Billion

The Mega Millions estimated jackpot has reached $497 million, with a cash option of $229.5 million, ahead of the Tuesday, Sept. 30 drawing.

Mississippi has seen its share of winners during recent record-breaking jackpots. Earlier this month, two players in Texas and Missouri split the $1.787 billion Powerball jackpot, the second largest in history. During that run, Mississippi players claimed several big prizes, including a $2 million Mega Millions ticket purchased at Pilot Travel Center in Moss Point, which has not yet been claimed.

Mega Millions tickets are $5 and include an automatic multiplier that boosts non-jackpot prizes up to five times. Tickets must be purchased before 10 p.m. Tuesday for a chance at the jackpot.

Other Jackpot Updates

  • Powerball: Wednesday’s jackpot stands at an estimated $160 million, with a cash value of $74.2 million.
  • Lotto America: The jackpot is estimated at $3.73 million, with a cash value of $1.73 million.
  • Mississippi Match 5: Tonight’s drawing features a $60,000 jackpot.
