Mississippi Lottery transfers over $11 million to State as Powerball jackpot soars to $930 million

JACKSON, Miss. – The Mississippi Lottery Corporation has announced another significant financial boost for the state, transferring $11,423,976.35 for the month of November. This latest transfer pushes the total contributions for Fiscal Year 2026 to over $53.3 million, with all funds currently designated for Mississippi’s roads and bridges.

Six Years of Funding Mississippi Infrastructure

The November transfer coincides with a major milestone for the corporation. November 25, 2025, marked the sixth anniversary of the Mississippi Lottery. Since its inception, the Lottery has generated more than $745 million for the state, supporting infrastructure and education needs.

Tonight’s Powerball: A Historic $930 Million

While the state celebrates the revenue, players are focused on tonight’s massive drawing. The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday, Dec. 10, has climbed to an estimated $930 million, with a cash value of approximately $429 million.

This marks the 41st drawing in the current jackpot run. If a player matches all numbers tonight, it will rank as the seventh-largest jackpot in the game’s history.

Ticket Details:

  • Cost: Powerball tickets are $2 per play.
  • Add-ons: Players can add the Power Play option for $1 to multiply non-jackpot winnings or the Double Play option for $1 for a chance to win in a separate drawing.
