JACKSON, MISS. — The Mississippi Lottery is gearing up for Labor Day weekend by releasing a new series of scratch-off games, “The Loaded Family,” and reminding players about the soaring Powerball jackpot, which is an estimated $700 million for the Saturday, Aug. 23 drawing.
The new “Loaded Family” scratch-offs arrive in stores on Friday, Aug. 29. The lineup includes three games offering a variety of instant win prizes:
- $2 “100 Loaded”: Packed with $100 prizes, this game lets players win instantly by revealing a “MONEY ROLL” symbol or double their prize with a “2X” symbol. Finding a “$100 BURST” symbol automatically awards a $100 prize.
- $5 “500 Loaded”: Offering chances to win $500, this game includes a “MONEY ROLL” symbol for an instant win, a “5X” symbol to multiply a prize by five, and a “$500 BURST” symbol for an automatic $500 win.
- $10 “2,000 Loaded”: This game is loaded with chances to win $2,000 instantly. Players can win with a “MONEY ROLL” symbol, multiply their prize with a “5X” or “10X” symbol, or automatically win $2,000 with the “$2,000 BURST” symbol.
All non-winning tickets from “The Loaded Family” games are eligible for a 2nd Chance drawing. Players can enter their tickets online at mslottery.com/2nd-chance for another shot at winning.
Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot has reached its highest estimate in more than a year. The estimated $700 million jackpot has a cash value of $316.3 million. If won, it would be the 11th largest Powerball jackpot in history. The last jackpot was won on May 31, 2025, with a $204.5 million ticket in California.
Mississippi has had success with Powerball recently, with six players winning $50,000 in the last month. Four of those winners multiplied their prizes to six figures by adding the Power Play option.
Powerball tickets cost $2, with the optional Power Play for an additional $1. The Double Play option is also available for $1, offering a second chance to win a $10 million jackpot. Tickets can be purchased at authorized Mississippi retailers until Saturday at 9:59 p.m.
