Mega Millions jackpot climbs to $520 Million; $2M ticket in Moss Point still unclaimed

JACKSON, Miss. – Mississippi Lottery players are hoping to strike it rich tonight as the Mega Millions jackpot swells to an estimated $520 million, with a cash option of $240.1 million.

The drawing comes just weeks after last month’s historic $1.787 billion Powerball jackpot, the second-largest in U.S. lottery history. Excitement is once again surging nationwide, with ticket sales brisk across Mississippi.

Among September’s big winners in the state was a $2 million Mega Millions ticket sold at the Pilot Travel Center in Moss Point. That prize remains unclaimed, and lottery officials are urging players to check their tickets.

Mega Millions tickets in Mississippi cost $5 per play and automatically include a multiplier that can boost non-jackpot prizes up to five times. Drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday at 10 p.m. Central Time, with tickets required to be purchased by 9 p.m. on draw nights.

Other Jackpot Updates

  • Powerball: Saturday’s jackpot is estimated at $195 million with a cash value of $90.5 million.
  • Lotto America: Estimated jackpot stands at $4.07 million, with a cash value of $1.88 million.
  • Mississippi Match 5: Tonight’s jackpot sits at $88,000.

Lottery officials said the growing jackpots and recent record-setting wins continue to fuel enthusiasm across the state.
