MDWFP Denounces False Online Post on Hunting Regulations

JACKSON, Miss. — The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks is pushing back against an online post that falsely claims baiting and feeders will be allowed on all public hunting lands during the 2025-2026 season.

In a statement, MDWFP said the information is not accurate and did not originate from the agency. Officials stressed that all hunting regulations and announcements are only issued through the department’s verified website and official social media accounts.

“We encourage hunters to always verify information directly from MDWFP before sharing,” the agency said.

MDWFP reminded hunters that official updates to hunting rules will continue to be released through its established channels, and any claims found elsewhere should be treated with caution.
