Four arrested in Tunica shooting

On Monday, June 3, at approximately 10:48 p.m., the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call advising an individual had been shot at Tunica Courts Apartments, located at 2661 Old Highway 61 N in Tunica. Deputies and first responders were dispatched to the area.
Upon arrival, deputies located a woman with a gunshot wound. The woman was treated on scene by Pafford, but succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased by the Tunica County Coroner. The woman was identified as Brenda Miller, 34, of Robinsonville.
As of Wednesday, June 5, the following arrests have been made and charges filed:
Jaylon Carter (21) of Tunica
- Murder
- Attempted Murder (2 counts)
- Shooting into a Motor Vehicle
- Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm within Populated Area
- Possession of Stolen Firearm
- Carrying of a Concealed Weapon
Dequaveon Spears (21) of Tunica
- Murder
- Attempted Murder (2 counts)
- Shooting into a Motor Vehicle
- Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm within Populated Area
Jaylin Liddell (17) of Tunica
- Second Degree Murder
- Attempted Murder (2 counts)
- Drive by Shooting
- Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm within Populated Area
DeShaun Clayborn (16) of Tunica
- Second Degree Murder
- Attempted Murder (2 counts)
- Drive by Shooting
- Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm within Populated Area
