Five Arrested Following Robbery Linked to Prostitution at Oxford Hotel
Oxford, MS – An early morning robbery led to five arrests after Oxford police responded to a 911 call from a hotel on West Jackson Avenue on July 2.
According to the Oxford Police Department, officers arrived at the hotel around 6:11 a.m. after receiving a report of a robbery. Investigators determined that the victim had arranged to meet a prostitute at the location but was instead robbed by multiple individuals during the encounter.
Following the investigation, authorities arrested and charged the following individuals:
- Devanta Quincy Brooks, 28, of Calhoun City, MS
- Andi Claire Edwards, 18, of Banner, MS
- Shukota Tiamber-Trina Herrod, 30, of Calhoun City, MS
- Arnasia Shanice Holmes, 21, of Vardaman, MS
Each faces charges of robbery, promoting prostitution, kidnapping, and conspiracy.
The initial 911 caller, identified as the victim, was also arrested at the scene on a misdemeanor charge of procuring prostitution.
All five were booked into the Lafayette County Detention Center. Bond amounts were set by a Municipal Court Judge.
