Fentanyl, cocaine seized in Jackson County; reputed gang member arrested
MOSS POINT, Miss. — The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics seized significant quantities of fentanyl and cocaine and arrested a reputed gang member following a search warrant execution Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025, at a Moss Point residence.
The arrestee, Linquin Frank Reid, 45, identified as a known Bloods Street Gang member, faces multiple charges, including aggravated trafficking of cocaine and trafficking of fentanyl.
During the operation, agents confiscated approximately 442 grams of cocaine, 128 grams of fentanyl, and 261 counterfeit Oxycodone pills containing fentanyl. They also seized 39 grams of crack cocaine, 52 grams of marijuana, three handguns and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.
In addition to the trafficking and drug possession charges, Reid was also charged with three counts of sale of a controlled substance (fentanyl), felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of drugs while in possession of a firearm.
Department of Public Safety Commissioner Sean Tindell commended the multi-agency effort.
“Operations like this one send a clear message: we will not tolerate those who choose to profit from poisoning our communities with fentanyl and other dangerous drugs,” Tindell said. “This arrest is a direct result of the strong partnerships between our state, local, and federal law enforcement agencies.”
The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics was assisted in the investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Safe Street Task Force and local partners, including the Pascagoula Police Department and the Coastal Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET). CNET is composed of agents from MBN and officers from the Pascagoula, Lucedale, and Wiggins Police Departments, and the George County Sheriff’s Office.
