Northwest Mississippi Community College hosts annual Les Fauves Christmas Art Sale

SENATOBIA, Miss. — Northwest Mississippi Community College’s Department of Fine Arts will host its annual Les Fauves Christmas Art Sale on Thursday, Nov. 20, beginning at 8 a.m. in the Fine Arts Gallery on the Senatobia campus.

The seasonal event showcases more than 100 original works created by Northwest art students, including drawings, prints, photographs, paintings, pottery, and sculpture. The sale offers a unique opportunity for the public to purchase one-of-a-kind pieces while supporting student artists and the college’s art club.

“The Art Department is excited to present the annual fall semester Holiday Art Sale,” said Ashley Chavis, Northwest art instructor. “Many Northwest students have been working tirelessly to transform original creative ideas into amazing visual communication while exploring the fundamental elements of art and design. We hope you will join us in the Art Department as we celebrate all these wonderful works of art.”

Held each fall and spring, the Les Fauves Art Sale allows students to experience the process of selling their artwork, gaining real-world exposure and contributing to the growth of the campus art community.
