McLendon endorsed by Mississippi Right to Life

The battle to gain support and endorsements continues for the Republican primary nod in Senate District 1. Incumbent state Sen. Michael McLendon (R-Hernando) is challenged by businessman Jon Stevenson for votes in the Aug. 5 primary.

McLendon’s campaign Thursday announced it has received the endorsement of Mississippi Right to Life.

“I am honored to have the endorsement of Mississippi Right to Life,” said McLendon. “In my time in the legislature, I have prioritized protecting the lives of the unborn. My values will never change.

In the announcement, state Right to Life director Sabrina Graham said, “We are grateful for Sen. McLendon’s commitment to life. His record proves he will continue standing strong for the unborn, and we are proud to support him.”
