June 20, 2025 – Magnolia Heights School has announced the appointment of Zach Suddoth as the school’s new head boys’ basketball coach.

Suddoth earned his degree from the University of Mississippi in 2012 and began his coaching career just a few months later at Strayhorn High School. During his time with the Mustangs, he led the program to its first-ever postseason appearance and ultimately guided the Mustangs to the playoffs three times.

In 2020, Suddoth returned to Magnolia Heights to coach junior high and high school girls’ basketball. He later transitioned into the boys’ program, serving as the junior high boys’ head coach and assisting Bubba Skelton. While leading the Junior High program, the Chiefs won multiple district championships and achieved an impressive streak of over 50 consecutive wins.

“Magnolia Heights is more than just a school—it’s home,” said Coach Suddoth. “I’m honored to step into this role and lead the program that helped shape who I am today. I look forward to building on our tradition of excellence and helping student-athletes grow both on and off the court.”

Suddoth is married to Lauren (Fore) Suddoth, and they have a daughter named Taygen.
