HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. – Rust College cross country standout Lauren Warr has been named to the Preseason All-HBCU Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) Women’s Cross Country Team, the league office announced this week.
Warr earned the recognition after a strong 2024 season, establishing herself as one of the conference’s top runners. Known for her consistency, endurance, and competitive drive, she became a key leader for the Lady Bearcats and now enters the 2025 campaign as one of the athletes to watch.

Head coach Damien Brigham praised Warr for her work ethic and leadership.
“We are extremely proud of Lauren and the work she continues to put into her training and performance,” Brigham said. “She sets the tone for our team both on and off the course, and this honor is a reflection of her commitment to excellence.”
Warr and the Lady Bearcats are preparing for another competitive season, aiming to make a strong impact in conference meets this fall. With Warr leading the way, Rust College looks to contend against some of the region’s top programs.
