Rip City Remix overcome Memphis Hustle 119-109, Memphis’ losing streak reaches eight

PORTLAND, Ore. — Blake Hinson scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Rip City Remix (8-5) to a 119-109 victory over the Memphis Hustle (1-10) on Monday at the Chiles Center.

The Remix utilized a strong fourth quarter, outscoring Memphis 33-24 to break open a contest that featured 13 lead changes and six ties. Sean Pedulla was instrumental in the final period, scoring 11 of his 18 points to secure the win.

 Game Progression

The matchup was highly physical from the start, with both teams assessed Flagrant 1 fouls in the opening quarter—Hustle’s Nate Hinton and Remix’s Yang Hansen. The teams ended the first period deadlocked at 29-29.

Rip City gained a slight edge by halftime, leading 59-55 , thanks to a 17-point first half from Hinson. Memphis briefly reclaimed the lead in the third quarter, but trailed 86-85 entering the final frame.

In the fourth, Rip City’s defense intensified, holding Memphis to 45.5 percent shooting while the Remix shot a blistering 57.1 percent. The Remix also excelled at the free-throw line, finishing the game at 92 percent.

Statistical Summary

Memphis dominated the paint, outscoring Rip City 52-36 in the area , but struggled from beyond the arc, hitting only 27.5 percent of their three-point attempts. Rip City capitalized on the Hustle’s turnovers, as Memphis lost 12 points off 10 total giveaways.

The Remix move to 8-5 on the season, while the Hustle continue to search for consistency with a 1-10 record. Memphis has now lost eight straight, last winning on Dec. 27 in the team’s regular season opener, 117-116, at home against the Valley Suns.
