Position draws set for College National Finals Rodeo

June 13, 2025 –  With the College National Finals Rodeo set to begin in a matter of days, draws have been released for all participants, including the qualifiers from Northwest.

Bull rider Dakota Smith and steer wrestlers Christian Cagle and Will Collier each qualified for this year’s CNFR. This will be the second consecutive CNFR appearance for Cagle and Collier, and the first for Smith.

Additionally, bull rider Luke Stanley also qualified for the second consecutive year, but will not compete due to injury.

Competition begins on Sunday, June 15 at 1 p.m. Mountain time (2 p.m. Central), with Smith scheduled to compete in the matinee draw. He is also tabbed for Monday morning’s slack round and Tuesday evening’s performance round.

Cagle and Collier will make their first appearances in Monday morning’s slack round, and the duo are scheduled to compete again in the slack round on Tuesday morning. Cagle is also scheduled to compete in Tuesday evening’s performance round, while Collier is scheduled for Thursday evening’s performance round.

All performance rounds of the CNFR will be streamed live through ESPN Plus and the ESPN app, available with your cable or streaming subscription. All ESPN coverage will begin at 7 p.m. Mountain time (8 p.m. Central).
