Northwest Women’s Soccer Earns Six All-MACCC Honors, Staff of the Year

SENATOBIA, Miss. — Northwest Mississippi Community College women’s soccer capped another dominant season with six players earning All-MACCC recognition and the Rangers’ coaching staff named Staff of the Year. Head coach James Beattie also collected Region 23 and Gulf South District Coach of the Year honors after guiding the team to a 17-1-1 record and a third straight MACCC and Region 23 championship.

Sophomore midfielder Emma Jensen headlined the awards with a First Team selection, leading the conference with 27 goals, eight assists and 62 points. Freshman midfielder Joline Knevel, defenders Lena Scholze and Allison Carroll, and forward Caroline Perkins earned Second Team honors, while defender Allie Kimbrell received honorable mention.

The Rangers’ defense anchored the season with 10 shutouts, while Perkins added 15 goals and six assists, including the game-winner in the Region 23 semifinal. Knevel contributed eight goals before an injury ended her season.

Northwest’s staff earned its third consecutive MACCC Staff of the Year award, credited with nearly 60 wins over the past three seasons. Beattie praised the collective effort of coaches, trainers, and volunteers who helped build the program’s success.
