Mar 10, 2025-Two DeSoto County prep baseball teams are ranked in the Prep Baseball Mississippi Power 25 of the Prep Baseball Report, a ranking of Mississippi public and private school programs.
The list is led by Lewisburg at number, which was 9-2 entering the week. A bit further down the rankings is Hernando, at 5-5, which is ranked ninth.
Lewisburg is ranked number one in the 7A standings and Hernando is fourth.
Also of note is Magnolia Heights, which came in fifth. The Chiefs of MAIS 5A are 9-1 entering the week.
Northwest Mississippi Community College teams populated NJCAA polls this week. The Lady Rangers softball team is ranked ninth in the national polls while the baseball Rangers enter the rankings at number 21. Northwest tennis teams are also nationally ranked this week, the men’s team at 18 and women at 19.
