Matt Stell to receive 2025 AutoZone Liberty Bowl Outstanding Achievement Award

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Multi-platinum country music artist Matt Stell has been named the recipient of the 2025 AutoZone Liberty Bowl Outstanding Achievement Award.

The award is presented annually by the AutoZone Liberty Bowl and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to recognize excellence in music and entertainment. The tradition dates back to the early years of St. Jude and its founder, entertainer Danny Thomas.

Stell, a dedicated supporter of St. Jude through his own charitable foundation, will accept the award and perform at the AutoZone Liberty Bowl President’s Gala at The Peabody hotel on Jan. 1, 2026. He is also scheduled to perform during the halftime show of the 67th AutoZone Liberty Bowl on Jan. 2, 2026.

Stell is one of only nine new country artists in the past six years to have consecutive No. 1 hits, including the 2-time Platinum song “Prayed For You” and the Platinum hit “Everywhere But On.” His debut album, “Born Lonely,” features the Top 20 radio single “Breakin’ In Boots.”

Previous recipients of the award include B.B. King, Alabama, The Beach Boys, Scotty McCreery and The Commodores.

Tickets for the President’s Gala or the AutoZone Liberty Bowl football game are available by calling (901) 795-7700 or visiting the bowl’s official website.
