Cleveland Charge surge past Memphis Hustle behind Norchad Omier’s big night
CLEVELAND — A dominant offensive performance from Norchad Omier and a decisive fourth-quarter run propelled the Cleveland Charge (9-4) to a 131-117 victory over the Memphis Hustle (2-12) on Friday night at the Public Auditorium.
The Charge used a balanced attack and efficient shooting to pull away in the final frame, outscoring Memphis 29-20 in the fourth quarter to secure the win. Cleveland shot 56.1 percent from the field and capitalized on Hustle errors to secure the double-digit victory.
Omier Leads the Charge
Norchad Omier was the focal point of the Cleveland offense, finishing with a game-high 32 points on 12-of-17 shooting. Omier also dominated the glass, pulling down 13 rebounds to complete the double-double.
Hustle Battle Back Early
Despite the loss, the Hustle remained competitive through three quarters, trailing by only five entering the final period. Tyler Burton led Memphis with 29 points and eight rebounds. Charlie Brown Jr. added 27 points, including five three-pointers, while Nate Hinton contributed 17 points in the effort.
Memphis found success in the paint, scoring 60 points in the lane compared to 62 for Cleveland. However, the Hustle struggled to contain the Charge’s transition game and late-game execution.
