Wholesale Nutrition Celebrates 25 Years of Fueling Health in Southaven
SOUTHAVEN, Miss. — Wholesale Nutrition, a family-owned health and wellness retailer known for its dedication to everyday low prices, is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a community event on Saturday, Dec. 6. The milestone is a testament to the commitment of owners Chris and Jennifer Jordan to providing quality supplements and personalized knowledge to the Mid-South community.
The store, which opened in 1999, was founded on a simple principle: offering all consumers everyday low prices without requiring special cards or coupons.
“It’s about relationships, trust, and helping people feel better, live stronger, and reach their goals,” said co-owner Chris Jordan, who was inspired to open the store after his own experience as a football player dealing with monthly supplement sales. “We try to keep the price as low as we can every day for everyone.”
The Jordans began the business themselves with no initial outside help, a challenge they overcame by prioritizing customer satisfaction and honest guidance.

A Growing Wellness Community
Over the past 25 years, the Jordans have witnessed a major shift in the health and wellness landscape. Co-owner Jennifer Jordan noted the move from general multivitamins to more individualized supplements as consumers have become more “health conscious.”
Furthermore, they have observed a notable change in the medical community’s acceptance of supplements.
“We’re seeing that change a little bit. Doctors are actually telling their patients to come in and to supplement and to get some things, whether it’s to go along with the prescription or to try that first,” Jennifer Jordan said. Chris Jordan noted the COVID-19 pandemic also played a significant role in making supplements and immune system support “more mainstream now than it ever has been.”
The family’s deep roots in the athletic community are evident, with their son, Blaze Jordan, a former DeSoto Central baseball standout, now a professional athlete with the Memphis Redbirds. Wholesale Nutrition supports those in demanding professions by offering a 10 percent discount to first responders, military personnel and teachers.
Anniversary Celebration
The Jordans credited the store’s longevity to the continued support of the community and their dedicated staff, which has grown from just the two owners to a team of 16 to 18 employees.
“We wouldn’t be here without the community. If the customers didn’t support us, we wouldn’t be here,” Jennifer Jordan said.
