Postmodern Jukebox brings Jazz Age flair to Heindl Center
SENATOBIA, Miss. — The Heindl Center for the Performing Arts at Northwest Mississippi Community College will transport audiences back to the Jazz Age when Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox takes the stage Friday, Dec. 5, at 7:30 p.m.
Founded in 2011 by New York pianist Scott Bradlee, Postmodern Jukebox reimagines modern pop hits in vintage styles ranging from 1920s jazz and swing to doo-wop and Motown. The ensemble has performed more than 1,000 shows worldwide, featuring a rotating cast of singers, dancers and instrumentalists.
The upcoming Senatobia performance is part of the group’s acclaimed Magic, Moonlight & Mistletoe World Tour, with holiday selections added for the season.
“Postmodern Jukebox is a unique act that remakes the pop hits of today into the classic sounds of the legends of yesterday,” said Heindl Center Director Dr. Blake Bostick. “With over 2 billion YouTube views and multiple international tours, we are thrilled to bring them to Senatobia for an incredible evening.”
Audiences can expect toe-tapping rhythms, dazzling costumes and a nostalgic celebration of music that bridges generations.
