Olive Branch to host community shred, drug take back day April 25
The Olive Branch Police Department and Mayor Ken Adams will host a Community Shred and Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 25, the department said. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Olive Branch Police Department, 10470 MS-178, Olive Branch, Mississippi.
Shredding services will be provided by DeSoto Shred, the department said. Officials encouraged residents to bring documents for shredding and to dispose of unwanted, unused or expired medications to help keep the community safe.
The department and Mayor Ken Adams said misuse or abuse of prescription drugs increases the possibility of tragic or unfortunate outcomes. They urged residents to safely dispose of unneeded medications to reduce those risks.
Additional year-round prescription medication disposal locations include Mike’s Pharmacy at 9065 Sandidge Center Cv., Ste. A, Olive Branch, Mississippi, and the Olive Branch Police Department lobby at 10470 MS-178, Olive Branch, Mississippi, the department said.
