Olive Branch to host community shred, drug take-back day April 25
Olive Branch will hold a Community Shred and Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 25 at the Olive Branch Police Department, Mayor Ken Adams announced.
Shredding services provided by DeSoto Shred will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the mayor said. The event will also accept unwanted, unused or expired medications for safe disposal.
Adams said prescription medications can too easily find their way into the wrong hands. He warned that misuse or abuse of prescription drugs increases the possibility of tragic or unfortunate situations and urged residents to help keep the community safe by disposing of medications properly.
The mayor’s announcement listed additional year-round medication disposal locations: Mike’s Pharmacy at 9065 Sandidge Center Cv., Suite A, Olive Branch, Mississippi, and the Olive Branch Police Department lobby at 10470 MS-178, Olive Branch, Mississippi 38654.
