Olive Branch to host community shred and drug take-back day April 25
Olive Branch officials will hold a Community Shred and Drug Take Back Day Saturday, April 25, at the Olive Branch Police Department, the city announced.
Shredding services will be provided by DeSoto Shred from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., organizers said.
Organizers urged residents to safely dispose of unwanted, unused or expired medications, saying it is not unusual for prescription drugs to find their way into the wrong hands and that misuse or abuse increases the possibility of tragic or unfortunate situations.
The announcement listed additional year-round prescription medication disposal locations: Mike’s Pharmacy, 9065 Sandidge Center Cv., Suite A, Olive Branch, Miss.; and the Olive Branch Police Department lobby, 10470 MS-178, Olive Branch, Miss., 38654.
The release was signed by Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams, according to the announcement.
