Olive Branch offers free cleanup kits to volunteers

The City of Olive Branch is providing free cleanup kits to residents and groups that pledge to clean a section of road, intersections or neighborhoods, the city said. The kits include orange litter bags, gloves and other supplies, the city said.

Maples Memorial United Methodist Church recently picked up a community cleanup kit, and Mayor Ken Adams thanked the group for its efforts, the city said.

Businesses, school groups, homeowners associations and neighborhood groups that want to organize a cleanup are asked to complete a form at www.obms.us/cleanupday, the city said. All completed forms will be issued a cleanup kit.

Businesses and other entities that commit to cleaning their areas will also receive a complimentary decal marking them as community partners in the city’s litter-reduction efforts, the city said.
