Olive Branch mayor seeks federal funds to widen highway, bridge
Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams said he presented requests to Mississippi’s congressional delegation for federal funding to widen Mississippi Highway 305 and the two-lane Craft Road bridge over U.S. 78 and I-22.
Adams said the presentations were made to Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith, Sen. Roger Wicker, Rep. Trent Kelly and senior staffers for Rep. Mike Guest.
In a post, Adams said the bridge on Craft Road needs to be widened to address traffic and safety concerns. He said the funding requests were intended to support those improvements.
Adams said he was grateful for the opportunity to meet with the delegation and for the work the Mississippi congressional delegation does for the state and DeSoto County.
