Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams and the Board of Aldermen recognized the Center Hill High School girls powerlifting team at a Board of Aldermen meeting after the team placed second in the state, DeSoto County Schools eNews reported.
The team earned a second-place finish in the Mississippi state competition, the district newsletter said.
Individual results highlighted two state champions. Summer Gasbarro won the 97-pound state championship, and Jasmine Stapleton won the 105-pound state championship, the newsletter reported.
Miranda Chine finished third in her weight classification, DeSoto County Schools eNews said.
