Olive Branch arrests made in St. George’s sexual assault investigation

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. – As three people were arrested in Olive Branch in connection with a sexual assault investigation at St. George’s Independent School in Collierville, the school announced that its head of school will return from administrative leave.

Luke Pruett, the Head of School at St. George’s, is scheduled to return to work on Monday, Nov. 17. Pruett was placed on leave while the school conducted an independent review of its policies following the report of an on-campus sexual assault.

The school has previously stated that Pruett was not involved in the incident under investigation.

The administrative update comes as the Collierville Police Department (CPD) expands its investigation, which now includes a second victim.

Authorities confirmed that two search warrants were executed in Olive Branch this week, resulting in three arrests. The Olive Branch Police Department (OBPD) charged two individuals with evidence tampering. A third individual was arrested on unrelated drug charges that arose during the search.

Two additional search warrants were executed in Shelby County.

The warrants are part of a joint investigation by CPD and the Shelby County Child Protective Investigation Team. The case opened on Nov. 6 after police received a report of a sexual assault that occurred on the St. George’s campus on Oct. 8.

On Tuesday, Nov. 11, a second victim came forward to report a separate sexual assault that allegedly occurred on Sept. 12.

At this time, Collierville Police say it appears both reported assaults are linked to the same suspect. Detectives are continuing to conduct interviews and review all available evidence.
