Northwest Cheer Wins Four National Championships
The cheer and dance teams at Northwest Mississippi Community College delivered a historic performance Saturday, Jan. 18, capturing four national championships at a national collegiate cheer and dance competition held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World in Orlando.
Competing against top programs from across the country, the Rangers earned national titles in:
- 🥇 Open Hip Hop
- 🥇 Open All Girl Traditional
- 🥇 Open Small Coed Traditional
- 🥇 Open Coed Gameday
Northwest also added two more podium finishes, placing second in Open All Girl Gameday and third in Open Dance Gameday, capping off a dominant showing on the national stage.
“This is an incredible accomplishment for our cheer and dance programs,” the team said in a celebratory post following the event. “There’s no feeling like this.”
The multiple championships underscore the continued growth and excellence of Northwest’s spirit programs, which continue to bring national recognition to the college and to Mississippi.
