Memphis man faces attempted murder charge in alleged shooting

Nov 12, 2024- Southaven police report a man is at 201 Poplar facing attempted murder charges concerning a shots fired call on Oct. 31 in Southaven.

Gerren Mitchell, age 40 of Memphis was arrested in Memphis Tuesday by U.S. Marshalls, who located him, then took him into custody.  

Southaven officers were called to the 800 block of Town and Country Drive. A victim said a subject fired several shots at him while pulling into the storage units at the address.  

Investigators determined Mitchell was the person they were seeking. After capture, Mitchell was taken to 201 Poplar in Memphis, where he is awaiting extradition back to Mississippi. He is being charged with attempted murder.
