MDOT announces emergency bridge closure on State Route 178 in Marshall County
BYHALIA, Miss. – The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) has announced an emergency closure of the State Route 178 bridge over Victoria Creek in Marshall County, effective today (Tuesday) at 2 p.m.
The closure comes after a recent inspection deemed the bridge to be structurally deficient.
The bridge will remain closed indefinitely until repairs can be made. Message boards are in place to alert motorists of the closure. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes.
