Man donates teddy bears to police to comfort children

John Sharpe dropped off a box of new teddy bears at the police department, the department said.

The department said the bears will be added to officers’ patrol cars.

Officers use the stuffed animals to help calm children at stressful scenes, including motor vehicle accidents where children are passengers, the department said.

The police department thanked Sharpe for the donation, the department said.
