Long Branch subdivision groundbreaking

Construction is about to begin on a new housing development serving the Walls and Lake Cormorant area of DeSoto County.  

A groundbreaking event with the Southaven Chamber of Commerce was held to signal the start of the Long Branch subdivision, located off state Highway 301 between Goodman and Nail Roads. Sky Lake Construction is the firm producing the subdivision, which will have 48 lots available at a minimum house size of 1,800 square feet at a starting price of $297,000. 

Construction on the subdivision will begin the first week of April and Sky Lake is now in the process of presales for the subdivision. 

Among those on hand for the Wednesday, March 13 groundbreaking were Walls Mayor Keidron Henderson and DeSoto County Supervisor Ray Denison.
