Local dealership helps provide kevlar vest for Olive Branch K-9 officer

A local dealership and other local businesses have helped provide a kevlar vest for an Olive Branch k-9 officer according to a release from the Olive Branch Police.

Genesis of Olive Branch help fund the new tailor-made police ballistics K9 vest for Sergeant White and K9 Baka with the Olive Branch Police Department.

We reported on the vest being fully funded last month thanks to local support.

“We are thankful for the opportunity to help provide this additional protection to our hometown heroes!” Genesis said of their donation.

The Olive Branch PD also expressed their gratitude. 

“Special thanks to Keeping K-9s in Kevlar and all donors, including Hyundai/Genesis – Olive Branch for your generosity! Because of you, OBPD K-9 Baka was able to receive a tailored kevlar vest to protect him while on duty,” according to a release from OPD.

Keeping K-9’s in Kevlar is a non-profit whose mission is raising community funds to purchase K9 Storm Kevlar vests for police K-9s in honor of Fallen Officers
