Library Card Sign-Up Month is September

August 21, 2024 Bob Bakken

Aug. 21, 2024 – Library Card Sign-up Month is this September with First Regional Library (FRL) and the American Library Association. The library is inviting everyone to discover the resources and opportunities available at your local library by signing up for a library card.

This year, FRL have Optimus Prime from the TRANSFORMERS as a special ambassador, highlighting that there’s more than meets the eye at First Regional Library. Whether you’re looking to enhance your skills, find valuable information, or connect with fellow avid readers, a library card unlocks a world of possibilities.

Today’s libraries are vibrant community centers offering much more than just books. At the 14 branches of First Regional Library, you’ll find diverse programs, job search assistance, arts & crafts programs, book clubs, author talks, storytimes, and more.

First Regional Library offers free access to Ancestry.com (in-library use only) and Transparent Language, an online resource with courses in over 100 languages. FRL also offers Learning Express Library for those wanting to learn a new skill, get employment guidance, or practice before taking tests like the SAT or GED.
