July 4 celebrations in DeSoto County
The four DeSoto County cities have announced their plans to celebrate American Independence Day, aka Fourth of July, in 2025. Horn Lake’s celebration will be on July 3 with Hernando, Southaven and Olive Branch holding their celebrations on July 4.
Here is a list of the city Independence Day events in DeSoto County:
City of Horn Lake Grand Fireworks Display and Festival
When: Thursday, July 3 from 4-10 p.m.
Where: Latimer Lakes Park, 5633 Tulane Rd., Horn Lake, MS 38637
The City of Horn Lake GRAND Fireworks Display features an afternoon of fun for the whole family with a kids zone, arts and crafts vendors, community partners, music, food trucks and the Mid-South’s first fireworks show of the holiday weekend! Activities start at 4 p.m. Fireworks kick off at 9 p.m.
City of Southaven Fireworks Extravaganza & Festival
When: Friday, July 4 from 5-10:15 p.m.
Where: BankPlus Amphitheater at Snowden Grove, 6285 Snowden Ln., Southaven, MS 38672
The City of Southhaven Fireworks Spectacular features one of the area’s largest fireworks shows along with a kids zone, live music at BankPlus Amphitheater, community sponsors and more! Join the fun starting at 5 p.m. and stay for the fireworks at 9:15 p.m.
City of Hernando Front Porch Fireworks
When: Friday, July 4 from 5-10 p.m.
Where: Hernando Civic Center Ball Fields, 3800 Robertson Gin Rd., Hernando, MS 38632
The City of Hernando Front Porch Fireworks features music, a kids zone, local vendors, food trucks and, of course, fireworks beginning at 9 p.m.
City of Olive Branch Fireworks Display
When: Friday, July 4 from 8-10 p.m.
Where: Olive Branch City Park, 8267 Goodman Rd., Olive Branch, MS 38654
The City of Olive Branch’s Fourth of July celebrations begin with the Light the Way Music Festival – a concert from Christian entertainers, CAIN, Seph Schlueter and Aaron Cole. The city’s annual fireworks display follows the festival, kicking off at 8 p.m.
