Iron Horsemen gang member convicted of child fondling

HERNANDO, MS — A DeSoto County jury has convicted Viking Chad Vanstory, a self-identified “Viking” and member of the Iron Horsemen motorcycle gang, of fondling a nine-year-old boy. The verdict was delivered after a two-day trial in DeSoto County Circuit Court, presided over by Circuit Judge Doug Hollowell.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Gordon Shaw and Michael Steele, following an investigation led by the Olive Branch Police Department in collaboration with Healing Hearts Child Advocacy Center.

“This conviction is a testament to the bravery of the victim and the tireless work of our law enforcement partners,” said ADA Gordon Shaw. “Let it be known: those who prey on children in DeSoto County will face justice and the full weight of the law.”

Vanstory is scheduled for sentencing on Oct. 13.

The DeSoto County District Attorney’s Office reaffirmed its commitment to protecting children, pursuing justice for victims, and partnering with agencies to ensure community safety.
