Interstate 69 in DeSoto County to be shut down temporarily June 7th-8th
HERNANDO, MS – The Hernando Police Department has issued a public service announcement regarding upcoming traffic disruptions on Interstate 69. On Friday, June 7, and Saturday, June 8, both westbound and eastbound lanes of I-69, between Tulane Road and Interstate 55, will experience intermittent closures.
The lane shutdowns are scheduled to occur every 15 minutes for approximately 15 minutes each time. This measure is necessary to allow Entergy to perform essential maintenance work.
The closures will take place during two time windows each day:
- Morning: 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.
- Afternoon: 1:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M.
Motorists are advised to plan their travel accordingly, expect delays, and consider alternate routes to avoid the affected area during these times.
