UPDATE: Late this afternoon the police department posted on its Facebook page the signals were repaired and back operational.
As of 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 19, Horn Lake police were asking drivers to avoid the intersection of U.S. Highway 51 and Goodman Road after a vehicle struck power lines in the area according to a post from the Horn Lake Police Department.
Below is a traffic map showing the area where the accident occurred on Tuesday morning.
The intersection was shut down and remain closed for an undetermined amount of time while crews work to address the damage.
Police said updates will be provided once the intersection is reopened. We will update as more information is available.
