SOUTHAVEN, Miss. – The Hope Center is set to launch its first Youth-Led Leadership Conference, an event designed to empower the next generation of community influencers through peer-led instruction and networking.
The conference is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 13, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Ranger Center on the campus of Northwest Mississippi Community College.
Stacy Dodd of the Hope Center announced the event, highlighting a unique aspect of the program: the keynote speakers are students from within the organization itself. These mentees, described as “young world-changers,” have been part of the Hope Center since childhood and have spent the past five years learning from top regional leaders.

“We are beyond excited to announce our very first youth-led leadership conference,” Dodd said. “As part of our mission of equipping future leaders, they make their public speaking debuts on December 13 at the Ranger Center.”
The event focuses on three core pillars: creating opportunities, equipping future leaders, and investing in the community. Organizers have designed the conference for young people seeking to make a difference in their schools and future careers.
Attendees will participate in thought-provoking discussions and interactive workshops aimed at unlocking leadership potential. In addition to the keynote addresses, the schedule allows for networking with peers, mentors, and professionals.
“Throughout the day, you can engage in thought-provoking discussions, attend interactive workshops, and hear from influential speakers who have excelled in their respective fields,” Dodd said. “We aim to equip you with the necessary skills, knowledge, and motivation to become influential leaders.”
