The Olive Branch Police Department said Highway 78 eastbound at Davidson Road has reopened after an 18-wheeler fire that briefly closed the roadway.
The department earlier said it had shut the entire eastbound lane and was diverting traffic onto Davidson Road. Motorists were urged to use alternate routes while crews worked at the scene.
At the time of the closure, the department said there was no estimated timeframe for reopening. In an update, police thanked motorists for their patience and urged everyone to drive safely.
