Highway 302 is open to traffic in both directions, Ken Adams, Olive Branch mayor, said in a statement from the City of Olive Branch government.
Earlier, the city asked motorists to avoid the area of Highway 302 westbound on the Highway 305 overpass because of a motor vehicle accident, the statement said.
The city said westbound traffic had been reduced to one lane and urged motorists to use an alternate route while crews worked. At the time, officials had no estimate for when they would be able to fully reopen the roadway, the statement said.
Adams thanked motorists for their patience and urged everyone to drive safely, the statement said.
