Hernando to host free ‘Touch a Truck’ event April 3

The City of Hernando will host a free “Touch a Truck” event for families from 9 a.m. to noon April 3 at Longview Point Baptist Church, 1100 McIngvale Road, the city said.

Organizers said children will be able to climb on, explore and learn about large trucks and other vehicles that help keep the community running.

An optional pancake breakfast will be available, hosted by the Foundation for Hernando Parks & Rec, with proceeds supporting Hernando parks, the foundation said.
