Hernando Chamber thanks DeSoto County EDC after TVA official’s talk

The Hernando Main Street Chamber of Commerce thanked the DeSoto County Economic Development Council for a luncheon that featured Heidi Smith of the Tennessee Valley Authority, the chamber said in a social media post.

The post said Smith, vice president for economic development at the Tennessee Valley Authority, spoke about economic development and partnerships between local government and businesses and their impact on local communities.

The chamber described the event as an “amazing and insightful luncheon,” the post said.

The post added that collaboration between government and business is aimed at “creating a stronger community for all,” the chamber said.
