HERNANDO, Miss. – As one of the fastest-growing regions in the Mid-South, DeSoto County officials announced Tuesday the opening of a new leadership position within the Facilities Department to keep pace with increasing infrastructure demands.
The county is currently seeking an Assistant Director of Facilities to help oversee the maintenance and servicing of the numerous buildings that house essential government operations. This recruitment effort follows a period of sustained population growth, which has necessitated more robust teams to manage the county’s physical assets.
“As DeSoto County grows, so must the team who works so hard to maintain and service the buildings that house various operations,” county officials stated in the announcement.
Prospective candidates must adhere to strict application guidelines. The county will only consider applications submitted for this specific posted position, and a formal employment application must accompany any resume. Unsolicited resumes or those submitted without the official county document will not be retained or considered.
Qualified applicants are required to submit a separate application for each position sought. Completed PDF applications can be emailed to the Human Resources department, faxed, or delivered in person to the Administration Building in Hernando.
The Facilities Department plays a critical role in the county’s daily functions, ensuring that public safety, judicial, and administrative buildings remain operational and efficient for the community.
