Deputy Markevius Williams completes crisis intervention training

Deputy Markevius Williams graduated from Crisis Intervention Training on Friday, April 3, the PCSO said.

The agency said Williams is one of 17 deputies who are CIT-certified.

PCSO said the training paired officers with mental health professionals and taught de-escalation, mental health awareness and ways to connect people to care.

PCSO said the skills are intended to help ensure safer outcomes for everyone involved.
